Delete Your Account

You can delete your MemoryBank account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do it — either works.

Option 1 — From your account settings

1. Sign in at mymemorybank.app/dashboard.
2. Open Settings (your account / profile page).
3. In the Security section, choose Delete account and confirm.

Option 2 — By email

Send an email from the address on your MemoryBank account to privacy@mymemorybank.app with the subject “Delete my account”. We verify the request against your account email and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes the following from our systems:

• Your account information (name and email address).
• All children's profiles you created (first name, emoji, color, optional birth year, goals, watchlists).
• Brokerage (Plaid) and Google Photos OAuth tokens, and your brokerage connections.
• Paired device tokens.
• Penny (AI assistant) conversation history.
• Your account's settings and preferences.

What is kept, and for how long

• Server logs (IP address, timestamp, endpoint) are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging, then automatically purged.
• Billing records. Transaction and invoice records held by our payment processor (Stripe) may be retained as required by tax and accounting law. We do not store full card details.

All other personal data is permanently removed within 30 days of your request. Brokerage and Google Photos tokens are cleared immediately when you disconnect those services from the Connections page, even without deleting your account.
