Saving
Setting money aside now to use later, usually somewhere safe and easy to reach.
Saving is money you set aside for later and keep somewhere safe, like a savings account. It doesn't grow much, but it also won't fall in value, which makes it the right home for short-term needs and an emergency fund. Money you won't need for many years is often invested instead, so it can grow.
Explain it to your kid
"Keeping money to use later, not right now."
