My pairing code expired

Pairing codes expire 5 minutes after you generate them so they can't sit around unused. If your code expired:

1. Go to /dashboard/pair.
2. Click Generate code again — a new 6-digit code will appear.
3. Type it on the kid's device within 5 minutes.

If the kid's device says the code is invalid even on a fresh attempt:

• Make sure you're typing the most recent code (older ones are automatically invalid once a new one is generated).
• Check that the kid's device is actually on mymemorybank.app/kids, not the HTML kiosk URL.
• Confirm the device has internet — pairing fails silently if the request can't reach our API.

If a fresh code still won't take, contact support from the Contact page so we can look at the logs.
