Entrepreneur
A person who starts and runs their own business, taking on the risks to earn the rewards.
An entrepreneur is someone who builds their own business instead of only working for someone else. Lots of kids are entrepreneurs without knowing the word — running a lemonade stand, mowing lawns, or selling crafts. The money an entrepreneur earns is 'earned income', which even lets a kid or teen open a custodial Roth IRA and start investing early.
Explain it to your kid
"Someone who starts and runs their own business."
