Adding and managing kids

Each child in MemoryBank gets their own profile — their own dashboard view, holdings, goals, and emoji/color theme. Here's how to add and manage them.

Add a kid

  1. Go to /dashboard/kids (the Family page).
  2. Click Add kid.
  3. Give them a name (required), and optionally pick an emoji and an accent color.
  4. Add their birth year if you can — it lets MemoryBank tailor the tone for their age and personalize the "What I'll Have When I'm…" projection. It's optional and you can add it later.
  5. Save. The new profile appears right away.

A plan note: the Free and Starter plans cover up to 3 kids; the Family plan covers up to 10. If the Add kid option is blocked, you've reached your plan's limit and that's the upgrade prompt.

Edit or remove a kid

From /dashboard/kids, open a kid to change their name, emoji, color, or birth year, or to remove the profile. Kids can also tweak their own avatar and color from the kid dashboard settings.

Connect their accounts

Adding a kid creates the profile; to show real money, assign accounts to them on /dashboard/accounts (link a brokerage or add a manual account, then map it to the kid). See "How to connect a brokerage account" and "Adding a manual account."

How kids see it

Kids don't log in with a password. They view their dashboard on a paired device — phone, tablet, or a wall display. See the pairing guides for setting that up.
