Managing multiple kids on one account
A MemoryBank account can hold profiles for multiple kids — each with their own holdings, dashboard view, goals, and emoji/color theme. Free and Starter cover up to 3 kids; the Family plan covers up to 10.
Adding a kid
- Open /dashboard/kids.
- Click Add kid.
- Enter the kid's first name, birth year (used for age-band personalization in Penny's answers), and pick an emoji + color.
- Save. The kid's profile is now in your account.
Assigning brokerage accounts to kids
After connecting a brokerage in /dashboard/connections, each account it shared with us needs to be assigned to the right kid:
- Open /dashboard/accounts.
- For each connected account, pick the kid it belongs to from the dropdown.
- Save.
An account can only belong to one kid at a time. If two kids share a brokerage (e.g. a joint UTMA), that's not a typical setup and likely means the account should be split before being added — talk to your brokerage.
Removing a kid
Open /dashboard/kids, find the kid, and click Remove. This detaches the kid profile from any accounts and removes their data from the dashboard. The underlying brokerage data is unaffected — you can reassign those accounts to another kid (or remove the connection) afterward.
Order on the dashboard
On the kids dashboard, kids appear in the order set on /dashboard/kids (drag to reorder). The order is shared across all paired devices.
Co-parents
If you have a co-parent or partner who wants their own login to the same family's data, use /dashboard/family to send them an invite by email. They get their own Clerk account but see the same kid profiles. Either side can revoke the connection at any time.
